Shanghai gold futures close lower

SHANGHAI, July 21– Gold futures closed lower Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange. The most active gold contract for December 2021 delivery was down 0.70 yuan to close at 379.28 yuan a gram. China launched gold futures in January 2008.

SHANGHAI, July 21 (Xinhua) — Gold futures closed lower Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

The most active gold contract for December 2021 delivery was down 0.70 yuan (about 11 U.S. cents) to close at 379.28 yuan a gram.

The total trading volume for 7 listed gold futures contracts on the exchange was 187,700 lots, with a turnover of about 71.24 billion yuan.
