Shanghai crude oil futures close lower

SHANGHAI, July 1– Crude oil futures closed lower Friday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange. The most active crude oil contract for August 2022 delivery was down 38 yuan to close at 696.6 yuan a barrel. China launched crude oil futures trading, which is open to overseas investment, in March 2018.

SHANGHAI, July 1 (Xinhua) — Crude oil futures closed lower Friday in daytime trading on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.

The most active crude oil contract for August 2022 delivery was down 38 yuan (about 5.68 U.S. dollars) to close at 696.6 yuan a barrel.

The total trading volume for 15 listed crude oil futures contracts on the exchange was 312,249 lots, with a turnover of about 219.41 billion yuan.
