ISLAMABAD, March 9 (Xinhua) — The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that its foreign exchange reserves have increased by 487 million U.S. dollars.

During the week ending on March. 3, the total foreign exchange reserves of the SBP rose to around 4.3 billion dollars, the SBP said in a statement on Thursday night.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks stood at 5.5 billion dollars, it added.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country reached about 9.8 billion dollars, according to the central bank. Enditem
