ACCRA, July 24 (Xinhua) — Newly-elected president of Ghana Boxing Authority Abraham Kotey Neequaye promised here on Saturday to ensure the country win more world titles.

In an interview with Xinhua, he said, there are huge prospects in Ghana boxing that must be supported to win world titles for the country.

“We have boxers like Emmanuel Tagoe and Mohammed Wasiru that could win world titles for Ghana with the right support,” he said.

“I also have a great team that would work with me to nurture the talents we have in the country,” said Kotey Neequaye.

He asked the government to invest in boxing in order to acquire the right resources to raise world champions.

Kotey Neequaye has been voted new president of the GBA after polling 54 votes against 46 garnered by his closest contender Henry Manly- Spain on Thursday. Enditem
