Myanmar reports 47 new COVID-19 cases

YANGON, Nov. 18– Myanmar confirmed 47 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the tally to 632,957, the country’s Ministry of Health said on Friday. The ministry said in a statement that health authorities tested 8,012 people for COVID-19, and the daily positivity rate was 0.59 percent. The Southeast Asian country detected its first COVID-19 cases in March 2020.

The total number of patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in the country reached 607,265, including 24 new recoveries on Friday.
