RIO DE JANEIRO, June 6 (Xinhua) — Internacional scored two goals in second-half stoppage time to secure a 2-0 away win over Bragantino in their Brazilian Serie A clash here on Sunday.

Johnny Cardoso broke the deadlock with a 92nd-minute strike and Carlos de Pena put the result beyond doubt by converting a 100th-minute penalty.

The result at the Nabizao in Sao Paulo stadium lifted Internacional to seventh in the 20-team standings with 14 points from nine matches, four points behind leaders Corinthians.

Bragantino are 14th with 10 points, just one point above the relegation zone.
