German shares close 1.17 pct higher

FRANKFURT, July 7– German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 181.33 points, or 1.17 percent, to close at 15,692.71 points. Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens, aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and Deutsche Bank were the top three losers among the blue chips, falling 1.41 percent, 1.10 percent and 1.00 percent, respectively.

FRANKFURT, July 7 (Xinhua) — German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 181.33 points, or 1.17 percent, to close at 15,692.71 points.

Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement gained the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.15 percent. European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero and multinational software corporation SAP added 3.55 percent and 3.49 percent, respectively.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens, aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and Deutsche Bank were the top three losers among the blue chips, falling 1.41 percent, 1.10 percent and 1.00 percent, respectively.

SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 405.85 million euros (480.16 million U.S. dollars).

China’s Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 3.31 percent to close at 1.560 euros per share on Wednesday. Enditem
