TBILISI, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — Georgia on Friday reported a total of 1,698 new COVID-19 cases, taking its national tally to 603,763, according to the country’s National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC).

Data from the NCDC also showed that 1,910 more patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 572,353.

Meanwhile, 38 people died in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 8,749.

The NCDC said that 25,692 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours around the country.

As of Friday, the country has administered a total of 1,715,073 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, according to the NCDC. Enditem
