BEIJING, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) — China’s outstanding yuan funds for foreign exchange have continued to rise for the third month in a row, official data showed Friday.

The funds stood at nearly 21.98 trillion yuan (about 3.1 trillion U.S. dollars) at the end of November 2023, up 76.2 billion yuan from October, according to a statement from the People’s Bank of China.

Such funds are an important indicator of cross-border foreign capital flows and domestic yuan liquidity.

China’s foreign exchange reserves came in at 3.1718 trillion U.S. dollars at the end of November, up from 3.1012 trillion dollars at the end of October, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange. Enditem
