PHNOM PENH, July 23 (Xinhua) — Cambodia on Friday reported 825 new COVID-19 infections including 335 imported cases, pushing the national total caseload to 71,244, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement.

Thirty-four more fatalities had been recorded, taking the overall death toll to 1,222, the ministry said, adding that 897 other patients had recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 63,474.

The Southeast Asian nation launched an anti-COVID-19 inoculation drive on Feb 10, with China being the key vaccine supplier.

MoH’s secretary of state and spokeswoman Or Vandine said that to date, the kingdom has vaccinated some 6.45 million people, or 64.5 percent of the 10 million targeted adults. Enditem
