PHNOM PENH, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) — Cambodia and Iran on Thursday vowed to boost their bilateral ties in sports and tourism, a Cambodian official said.

The commitment was made during a meeting between Cambodian Tourism Minister Thong Khon, also president of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), and Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, visiting president of the Iran National Olympic Committee, said NOCC’s secretary general Vath Chamroeun.

Vafa is in Phnom Penh to attend the 41st Olympic Council of Asia General Assembly, which will be held on Oct. 3 and 4.
