SARAJEVO, May 22 (Xinhua) — New trolleybuses have been added to the vehicle fleet of the public transportation provider in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

The government of the Sarajevo Canton said on Sunday that until June 6, commuters will enjoy free rides on the new electric buses.

The 25 new vehicles were purchased from a company in Minsk, Belarus to renew the old fleet of vehicles introduced in the late 1990s.

New trolleybuses are equipped with the state-of-the-art ticketing and passenger-counting system and will provide easy access for people in wheelchairs. They will also be able to travel outside of the electrical infrastructure by using power from the on-board batteries. Enditem
