TALUQAN, Afghanistan, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) — Afghan security forces killed four armed persons in Chal district of Afghanistan’s northern Takhar province on Tuesday, provincial police spokesman Abdul Mubin Safi said.

The security forces launched an operation in the district’s Sayad area early Tuesday, in which they killed the four armed men and seized their weapons, according to the official.

No security personnel were injured in the operation, the official said.

Militants of hardline outfits of the Islamic State terrorist group had claimed responsibility for some isolated security incidents, including bomb blasts in parts of the war-torn country. Enditem
