TEHRAN, July 24 (Xinhua) — Four members of the Quds Base of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) were killed in the clashes with militants in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, a statement by the IRGC said on Saturday.

“In the clashes (erupted on Friday night), Mohammad Nabi Omarzehi, Hamid Sohrab Zehi, Nader Rigi Hosseinabadi and Mohammad Ali Rakhshani were martyred,” said the statement carried by the official IRNA news agency.

The southeastern province of Iran has been the scene of deadly clashes over the past years between the Iranian security forces and other armed groups. Enditem
