JOHANNESBURG, October 7 (ANA) – Hosts Morocco romped to a 5-0 thumping of Guinea Bissau in their Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifier at Moulay Prince Abdellah stadium in Rabat on Wednesday.

The margin of victory also helped Morocco raise their goal difference to positive seven, and the team has also not conceded a goal in their two matches.

The victory raised the Atlas Lions tally to six points from two games, two more than second-placed Guinea and Guinea Bissau, while Sudan trails the group on one point.

The Moroccans have dominated the game from the first whistle, and scored five unanswered goals to give coach Vahid Halilhodzic an impressive win.

Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi put Morocco ahead at the half hour mark, exploiting a defensive error.

Just before the break the hosts made it 2-0 when Imrane Louza scored from the spot.

In the second half, the Atlas Lions continued dominating, and four minutes after halftime Ilias Chair added the third goal past Guinea Bissau goalkeeper Jonas Mendes with a superb strike.

Just after the hour mark it became 4-0. Striker Ayoub El Kaabi scored with an acrobatic kick from close range as the former Wydad forward displayed a clinical finish.

Eight minutes from time, Munir El Haddadi put the icing on the cake by scoring Morocco’s’ fifth of the night as the home team ended the game in style.
