BRUSSELS, Sept 4 (Reuters) – NATO allies agreed on Friday

Weapons into the poisoning of opposition leader Alexei Navalny,

the alliance’s chief said.

“Any use of chemical weapons shows a total disrespect forhuman lives, and is an unacceptable breach of internationalnorms and rules,” Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told a newsconference.

“NATO allies agree that Russia now has serious questions, itmust answer, the Russian government must fully cooperate withthe Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on animpartial international investigation,” he said, reporting backfrom a meeting of the alliance’s ambassadors.(Reporting by John Chalmers and Philip Blenkinsop)
