Belarus reports 179 new COVID-19 cases, total reaches 72,141

MINSK, Sept. 2– Belarus reported 179 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, taking its total to 72,141, according to the country’s health ministry. There have been 294 new recoveries in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 70,900, the ministry added. So far, 691 people have died of the disease in the country, including five over the past 24 hours, it said.
