Police in Kasungu have arrested a 48-year-old man, Henderson Lowole, on suspicion that he killed his 65-year-old biological father, Alick Lowole, over land proceeds.
Kasungu Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Miracle Mkozi has told us said the incident happened on Sunday, May 8 2022 at Kamuholeni Village.
According to Mkozi, it is in record that the deceased sold a piece of land at K500 000.00 and he did not share the proceeds with his son, the suspect.
“This did not please Henderson who at around 3:00 hours ambushed his father and escaped before the neighbours of late Alick Lowole had arrived at the scene,” Mkozi said.
Police later launched a manhunt which led to the arrest of the suspect Wednesday.
The suspect will appear before court soon to answer a charge of murder.
Both the suspect and the deceased are from Kamuholeni Village in Traditional Authority Kalikokha in Kasungu District.
