After dropping ‘Ndimamvetsela’, the title track of their forthcoming album recently, Ndirande Anglican Voices holds a listening session tomorrow night at Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre.

The group’s lead vocalist Dennis Kalimbe said Thursday that they decided to hold the listening session to give music lovers a treat in their quest to evangelise the word of God through music.

“We are excited with the response that people have given us following the release of ‘Ndimamvetsela’, which is the title track of the album. It has been such a long journey working on this album but we felt we should do things not the usual way but the unusual way,” Kalimbe said.

He said throughout the years they have been on the music scope, they have met different people, who have been working behind the scenes to help their growth.

“These people needed a rare treat and also an interaction at a convenient place hence this listening session. Secondly, we would want to show them what is inside this new album,” Kalimbe said.

On the album, Kalimbe said the overall message is about the benefits of “trusting God in all our endeavours”.

“In the bible, we have people like Job, who persevered a lot in life but later became successful,” he said.

Kalimbe revealed that the album will be released on November 20 2023 before major launches in Blantyre and Lilongwe on dates to be announced soon.

Recorded at Umi Wangu Records by Kalimbe and then M Studios by Steve Meleka, Ndimamvetsela is Ndirande Anglican Voices’ seventh album.

The group’s other albums include Ndasayina, Tiyeni Tonse , Mulungu Amatikondera, Ndasamba Mmanja, Zimandikwanira and Namondwe Tonthola.
