Member of Parliament for Tonota who is also Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Pono Moatlhodi’s assault trial dates have been set for August 28th and 30th before Francistown Magistrates Court.

This is in relation to the case in which the Moatlhodi, Maranyane Kebitsang and Nnyana Kebitsang allegedly assaulted a 12 year old boy in January 2019 at Tonota village.

The minor allegedly incurred the wrath of the accused after he allegedly stole some mangoes from the Kebitsang homestead.

It is said the trio unleashed a vicious dog to bite the child, causing puncture wounds and bruises on his face and body.

One of the accused, Maranyane has since died.
