LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The MK15.3 Million Central Region division one Standard Bank league continued on Sunday, May 15, 2022 as Santhe ADMARC successfully used Standard Bank UNAYO platform while at home past Amboya.

Mika Sabilika’s brace and Gift Nyumayo goals were enough to earn McDonald Makanje’s coached side Santhe ADMARC 3 points in Kasungu at Santhe ADMARC ground.

Adrian Rashid scored the consolation goal which was not enough to help Amboya FC collect maximum vital points but rather continued dropping points following their Saturday’s 1 all draw against Mahempe in Mchinji.

Speaking in a post match interview, McDonald Makanje, Coach for Santhe ADMARC hailed his boys for the victory saying they applied the tactics well on the pitch just as they were told at the training.

He described Amboya FC as a good side but said the good preparations for the game really helped the Kasungu based side.

His counterpart, George Phiri, attributed the loss to fatigue as they also played on Saturday saying he is using a very youthful squad.

He added the two games which they have played in Mchinji and Kasungu have given them a good analysis of their weaknesses and vowed to rectify them when back in their base Salima.

Both coaches however thanked Standard Bank of Malawi for partnering with Football Association of Malawi (FAM) to sponsor regional leagues through UNAYO platform saying it has brought stiff competition in the league. The two later promised to work hard until their last games.

Other Sunday fixtures saw Mapokezi FC defeating Balang’ombe Real Bombers by 2-1,Nicholas Mikadi scored both goals for Mapokezi while Jawadu Kadungo scored for Balang’ombe.
