The Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing (JSM) Company Limited, the largest disposable syringe factory in Africa that produces disposable syringes, made with state of the art technology, from high quality medical, has been awarded the internationally recognized ISO certifications for its conformity with industrial quality and management.
Jubilee Syringe Manufacturers was presented with the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 certifications, almost four years after its inauguration in September 2017 mandated to produce syringe for single use hypodermic and sterile disposable syringes.
Jubilee Syringe which is the largest disposable syringe factory in Africa was established in 2017 through the vision of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s led administration. The Company which has since commenced operation is producing three types of disposable syringes (2ml, 5ml, and 10ml).

This disposable syringes whose raw materials are produced by Nigerian Petrochemical companies come handy with the standard needle sizes:
•2ml with needle 0.60 x 30mm (23 G x 1 1/4“)
•5ml with needle 0.80 x 40mm (21 G x 1 1/2“)
•10ml with needle 0.80 x 40mm (21 G x 1 1/2“)
The Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing Company {JSM} is located in situated in Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria.
Olumicle Ajibawo, the Managing Director of the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB), handing the awards to Jubilee Manufacturing Factory said that the International body was satisfied with the management and quality of product from the JSM firm.
Ajibawo, In his explanation on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PECB argued that; “by achieving the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications the Jubilee Manufacturing company will benefit from the opportunity of improving efficiency and customer relationships, team’s cohesion, and cost containment.
“By holding a PECB certificate, you will demonstrate that you have the necessary capabilities to improve overall businesses performance, and shield yourself and your organization against persistent, changing and undefined threats in a moderately challenging environment over a short period of time.”
Olumicle Ajibawo, hailed the board of directors and the management at large for their commitment to achieve compliance with the international standard through their Management System Certification Services.
Receiving the award, the Managing Director of the JSM, Mr. Akin Oyediran, attributed the success recorded by the firm to its hard working staff.
He said with the certification the company is now seen as an international competitor and would improve on its activities.
He observed that one of the challenges the company would face in the international market was that JSM would be seen as a Nigeria company and produce with Nigerians, noting that a world class product in Nigeria is not impossible, “if you set your mind to anything that you have the right type of investor and the right commitment of the right employee.”
He added: “We have achieved it and we will continue to achieve it. It is not easy but it was easy everybody has to be doing it. If it was common we will not get certified for doing it. The next part of our certification we have to go for will allow us to send our product into Europe. So we are not resting on what we have achieved.”
Felicitating with the company, the State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Ukpong Akpabio, said the Ministry was ready to partner with the JSM towards the industrialization of the state.
