Mahikeng pastors mourn TB Joshua
The Mahikeng Ministers Fellowship in the North West has praised the late pastor for his philanthropy.
RUSTENBURG, June 7 (ANA) – The death of pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua, famously known as TB Joshua, is a devastating loss to the body of Christ, the Mahikeng Ministers Fellowship (MMF) in South Africa’s North West province said on Monday.
“Prophet TB Joshua was a truly surrendered vessel and a general of faith that had impacted not only West Africa but the entire continent and the world for Christ with his prophetic and deliverance ministry. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Evelyn Joshua, his children, ministry as well as SCOAN (Synagogue Church of All Nations) partners across the globe,” said chairperson Moss Tlalang.
The founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations died on Saturday in Nigeria at the age of 57, reportedly shortly after hosting a meeting with partners of his TV channel, Emmanuel TV.
Tlalang said Joshua had left an indelible mark and proud legacy of servant-leadership and had set a high standard of service for the glory of the Lord.
“His global humanitarian and philanthropic activities, which have contributed over $500 million over the years towards various causes to alleviate the plight of those in need, was the envy of many churches and other faiths.
“The pioneering rehabilitation programme for armed robbers, prostitutes and for people from Nigeria’s volatile Niger-Delta region, as well as initiative for reconciling broken families and marriages he had established will forever remain inspirational.”
Meanwhile, the leader of the official opposition in Namibia, McHenry Venaani, conveyed his condolences to churchgoers, saying TB Joshua would be remembered for his philanthropy and teachings, radio station Eagle FM Namibia reported.
“Prophet TB Joshua was a man who doggedly served God with passion and courage. May the Almighty God console the bereaved family and grant them the strength to bear this grievous loss and find solace in Him,” the broadcaster quoted Venaani as saying.
