1/18: South Africa – Cape Town – 24 November 2022 – The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, preached at St George’s Cathedral, Cape Town, today. Archbishop Thabo Makgoba hosted their visits to Cape Town. Archbishop Welby has been visiting a new church of the world-wide Anglican Communion, the Igreja Anglicana de Mocambique e Angola (the Anglican Church of Mozambique and Angola). 2/18: South Africa – Cape Town – 23 November 2022 – The Waste to Art Expo is an extension of the City of Cape Towns Lets Act clean-up campaign, a reminder to citizens to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible. The Expo was opened by the Executive Mayor of Cape Town, Geordin Hill-Lewis. As part of the Festive lights Switch-On event that attracts more than 80 000 people into the City centre each year, this message is an important one to convey not just for the day, but every day. Four schools were selected by the City of Cape Town, to participate in the project which has produced some wondrous, imaginative and thought-provoking works of art created by Grade 6 and 7 students. 8/18: South Africa – Cape Town – 21 – November – 2022 -Myciti bus burning in Landsdown Road in Khayelitsha. Day one of the taxi shutdown has already seen chaos break out in Khayelitsha. Three buses, a MyCiTi and Golden Arrow buses were set alight in Khayelitsha this morning while another one was hijacked with passengers inside and later recovered.
