2/21: South Africa – Cape Town – 30 May 2022 – The City of Cape Town unveiled six new additions to its firefighting fleet. The fire engines were built by Marcé Fire Fighting Technology at its facility in Centurion. 7/21: SOUTH AFRICA – Cape Town – 28 May 2022 – A group of people, mostly DA supporters marched with placards from Strooidakkerk on Paarl Main Road to Zomerlust Boutique Hotel to express their dissatisfaction with the proposal to change the name of the Afrikaanse Taalmonument. Although the National Treasury has extended the fuel price tax holiday at the 11th hour, South African motorists are still facing massive fuel price hikes from Wednesday, June 1. Thanks largely to stubbornly high international oil prices, 93 Unleaded petrol will increase by R2.43 per litre, while 95 Unleaded will go up by R2.33. It raises funds for a youth development programme that includes golf coaching, golf equipment, entry into golf tournaments, academic support (tuition), bursaries for youth who show strong academic potential, mentorship and certified life coaching.
