JOHANNESBURG, July 6 (ANA) – Egyptian author Dr Mary Gemming, a teacher and minister, has launched a book titled “The Hidden Knowledge of Egyptian Mythology” that unravels Egyptian mythology, astrology and the ancient teachings of Egyptian mystery schools.

According to a statement issued by Cision PRWeb on Tuesday, Gemming said Egyptian gods no longer have the power they once possessed and that they are frozen in time in old temples and myths, where their memories linger.

“It discusses the importance of the eye, the presence of the zodiac and the pharaoh who brought back the belief in one god, new evidence of the early civilizations and their use of astrology, the Pantheon of gods and what it was, the mystery of Hathor, the earliest calendar, the beginning of the Egyptian zodiac, the Egyptian months, the revelations through the Hermetic Texts and Thoth-Hermes Trismegistus,” said Gemming.

She said she never realised that astrology played such an important part of Egyptian mythology and culture until she travelled to the North African country.

“The stories at the core of mythology are based on things that happened in real life. Myths form a background for human behaviour and motivation. They try to answer the questions of life, such as, ‘Why are we here?’ or, ‘Where do we go when we die?’ or, ‘Why do we go through the struggle of good and evil?’ It is human nature to seek to know the meaning of life. Individuals want to know the answers to life’s dilemmas, and will continue to seek to know that life is not meaningless, but accounts for something.”

Gemming said she wants readers to know and realise that ancient beings came to Egypt to raise the level of consciousness and that they have been created for a higher purpose in life than most had realised.

“God has spoken through many cultures in order to teach that there is a true God, and that we will have eternal life as long as we have faith.”

“The Hidden Knowledge of Egyptian Mythology” is published by AuthorHouse.
