Zimbabweans have been terrified as two haulage trucks and small trucks collided and exploded in a horrific accident along the Beitbridge-Masvingo Road.
The horror accident occurred near the Chivi tollgate. The Zimbabwe Republic Police is yet to confirm the tragic event.

ZBC News Online spoke to villagers who witnessed the accident, and they revealed that two cross-border haulage trucks collided along the Beitbridge-Masvingo road, and they blocked the road. This resulted in other smaller cars travelling along the highway piling up on the scene.
In a few minutes, an explosion created a fiery inferno at the spot. A witness revealed the exact scene of the accident on Twitter.
“It’s Sese. Where the newly tarred road begins. Soon after the tollgate going to Beitbridge. The ambulance came from Chivi, but unfortunately, it could not rescue people who were trapped inside the burning vehicles. No fire brigade.”
In a video shared by Newshawks on Twitter, a burnt Toyota Fun Cargo had been trashed on the roadside while remnants of two charred Toyota Wish and a Toyota Platz were still smouldering next to one of the burning trucks.
ZBC also reported that some escaped the fire and were ferried to the hospital for treatment. Others, however, were charred beyond recognition, and the exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed.
Zimbabweans reacted with pain to the fiery accident.
