South African fly-half Elton Jantjies is embroiled in a cheating scandal involving Springboks dietician Zeenat Simjee.
The duo were sent packing from Argentina amid allegations that Jantjies who is married with three children was having an affair with the South African rugby team’s dietician Zeenat Simjee.
Allegations are that when South Africa played Newzealand earlier this year, Jantjies and Simjee shared a room at a guest house in Mbombela while the Springboks stayed elsewhere as they prepared to play the All Blacks.
SA Rugby responded swiftly to the reports and sent Elton Jantjies and Zeenat Simjee packing. SA Rugby said the decision to send the two packing was made to allow the duo to attend to the allegations and eliminate any distractions to the team’s preparations for the Test against Argentina.
SA Rugby said that Simjee and Jantjies have not broken South Africa’s team protocol.

While some people have crucified Elton Jantjies for cheating on his wife Iva Ristic who is a model, a section of social media users have patted the Springboks fly-half for having an extramarital affair. Below are some of the reactions:

In the wake of the scandalous allegations, Elton Jantjies posted a cryptic message on his Instagram page. He posted a photograph of a young Robert De Niro from The Godfather Part II movie with the words written:
I prefer to distance myself whenever I’m mad to calm my mind otherwise I become the most heartless person you’ll ever meet
De Niro played a young mob boss Vito Corleone in the sequel and won an Oscar for best supporting actor for his performance.
Meanwhile, his wife changed her Instagram page to ‘private’ after reports that her husband had an affair with the team’s dietician.
