A brave security guard saved dozens of lives after he thwarted a mass shooting at a Tampa strip club in Florida.

Manny Resto — a former professional wrestler-turned-security guard, intercepted and disarmed a deranged gunman wearing a devil mask who was trying to enter the strip club.

According to CBS News, the suspect, Michael Rudman, arrived at Mons Venus on Sunday wearing a red and black devil mask adorned with the words “Kill” and “Dark One” on his arms.

The CCTV footage, which has since gone viral, shows Rudman approaching the club’s entrance with a loaded firearm in one hand and a flashlight in the other.

Rudman opens the entrance door and flashed a 9mm pistol in his right hand.

Upon noticing the gun, Resto wrestled with Rudman and knocked the gun away from him. He then picked it up and held Rudman at gunpoint as another bouncer, Danny Baham, helped restrain him.

“I saw him raise his hand, and he had a gun.”

“I saw him point it towards the door, and I decided that he was not going toenter the club and hurt anybody,” Resto said.

After arresting Rudman, the police found two additional loaded magazines in his pocket and more ammunition, knives and firearm holsters in his truck.

In a statement, Tampa Police interim Chief Lee Bercaw praised the security guards for disarming Rudman and thwarting what would have been a tragic mass shooting incident.

“There is no question that the security guards who disarmed this suspect saved dozens of lives through their heroic acts, and I am thankful our officers were able to take this individual into custody before he had a chance to carry out whatever he had planned,” Bercaw said.

The brave security guards are being hailed as heroes for their quick thinking and fearless actions in stopping an armed man from entering the strip club.

The Tampa Police Department has since commended the security guards for their heroic actions in preventing a mass shooting in Florida.
