“Heavenly Trio” – Costa Titch, Riky Rick and AKA’s Video Brings Mzansi To Tears

Mzansi has been left mourning following the death of Costa Titch last night. South Africans on social media were left teary-eyed after noting that Costa Titch, AKA and Riky Rick, are all gone, just a few years after featuring on the video of the hit song and video “Nkalakatha Remix”.

As South Africans on social media watched and shared the video, they could not help but tear up on realising that all three musicians are now in heaven.

Riky Rick was the first one to go when he died last year. Riky Rick died on 23 February 2022 after reportedly taking his own life. The rapper died a few months before his 35th birthday after battling depression for many years.

Barely a year later, AKA joined him on 10 February 2023. The “Fela In Versace” rapper was gunned down outside a Morningside restaurant in Durban. He was on his way to his birthday celebrations at Yugo Durban. He died a few days after turning 35.

As people were still coming to terms with AKA’s death, Costa Titch joined him barely a month after. The Nelspruit-born artist and dancer, real name Costa Tsobanoglou, died after collapsing on stage during a live show.

As Mzansi mourned the terrible tragedy that claimed the lives of the three talented musicians in just 12 months, many took to social media to commemorate their lives through their video of “Nkalakatha Remix.”
