Traditional Leader Rapes Desperate Client…Says She Needs Medicine Put Directly Into Her Womb
A Harare traditional healer has been dragged to court after he reportedly raped a 19- year-old woman who had come to his residence seeking spiritual help concerning her mensuration period pain. Mabviregudo appeared before Harare magistrate Richard Mangosi who remanded him to 26 April after advising him to apply for bail at the High Court.
Traditional Healer Rapes Woman After Telling Her He Wanted To Put Some Medicine Into Her Womb Using His P_enis
A Harare traditional healer has been dragged to court after he reportedly raped a 19-year-old woman who had come to his residence seeking spiritual help concerning her mensuration period pain.
According to court papers, Steven Nyasha Mabviregudo, 35, reportedly told the woman that he wanted to put some medicine into her womb using his p_enis before committing the crime then he threatened her with blindness and death after raping her.
Mabviregudo appeared before Harare magistrate Richard Mangosi who remanded him to 26 April after advising him to apply for bail at the High Court.
The State represented by Lancelot Mutsokoti alleges that on March 3 this year at around 9 am the complainant went to Mabviregudo’s place of residence to seek medication since the accused person is a witch doctor.
Upon her arrival, the complainant narrated her problem of mensuration period pain to Mabviregudo who went on and told the complaint that the problem must be solved at a private place.
The State alleges that Mabviregudo told the complainant that he wanted to put some medicine into her v_agina and push it with his p_enis into the womb.
The State further alleges that the two went to the Mabviregudo’s bedroom and he was holding a bottle with some substances inside. In the bedroom, the complainant was ordered to sleep on the mattress facing upwards.
Mabviregudo reportedly started to caress the complainant’s thighs and removed her pants and had sex with the complaint without her consent but he did not use any medicine to cleanse the womb.
After the act, the State further alleges that Mabviregudo told the complainant that she was possessed with some spirits which need to be cleansed.
He told the complainant that if she discloses the matter to anyone she will be blind, her mother will die and her family will spend the rest of their lives in the streets.
The abuse reportedly happened several times until on 9 April when the complainant disclosed the matter to her mother who escorted her to the police leading to the accused person’s arrest.
