Watch Ugandan Presidential Convoy Involved In An Accident

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s convoy was yesterday involved in an accident which severely injured three people.

A video of the three injured individuals is making rounds on social media where they are seen lying flat on the ground groaning in pain.

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces’ Special Forces Command has since released a statement on the accident;

The presidential convoy involved in accident along Northern bypass.

Today (yesterday) around 11:40am, an accident happened at Masanafu roundabout on the flyover towards Busega.

The accident happened when the rider of a motorcycle Reg. number UFM 260F swerved to avoid a stationary vehicle hit right rear side as a result fell off the in to the middle of the road with the two passengers. In the process some of the convoy vehicles swerved to avoid hitting him.

Three people were involved in the accident -two adult males and one female all currently admitted in the hospital with injuries.

We are monitoring the injured, have notified their next of kin and wish them a quick recovery?

Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has filed a US$25 million lawsuit against the Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) for alleged loss of business and a soiled image after the power generator caused his well-publicised arrest and prosecution for abusing US$5 million advanced to his Intratrek company to undertake the bungled US$173 million Gwanda solar project.

Hearing of the matter took off before High Court judge Justice Siyabona Musithu Monday with Chivayo taking it to the stand where he poured his heart out complaining the alleged fraud was costing him business opportunities.
