It was revealed that the trio – Nare, Bango, and a man identified as Jason Leeroy Pamhidzai – had booked a hotel room at The Crowne Plaza Monomotapa hotel for a weekend of unrestrained debauchery.

During their stay, the group indulged in excessive drinking and cocaine use. However, as the effects of the cocaine kicked in, the two women’s behaviour became increasingly uninhibited, leading to their arrest.

It was alleged in court that Pamhidzai had provided the cocaine, which he was consuming himself. As the night progressed, Nare – who suffers from seizures – began having seizures and started bleeding from the nose, prompting Pamhidzai to run away from the room. Bango then went running naked through the hotel corridor seeking help.

The group was apprehended after hotel delegates attending a meeting were disrupted by their behaviour and called the police. Upon arrival, the police discovered 0.2 grams of cocaine in their hotel room, which has a street value of $16,000.

Despite the accusations against them, the two models have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Gono, their lawyer, has argued that the State has no compelling evidence to convict them. He has also stated that video evidence from the hotel will support their case.

The case continues, with the bail ruling to be announced soon. However, this is not the first time that Tumelo Nare has made headlines. In 2019, she was accused of failing to pay for a sex toy that she had obtained on credit from another model. Nare denied the allegations, stating that she had borrowed a charger instead of purchasing a toy.

This latest scandal has rocked Harare’s modeling community, and the trio’s behavior has been met with widespread criticism. It remains to be seen what consequences will befall the models, but one thing is certain – this story is far from over.
