The female tiger was finally shot dead yesterday after being spotted in a residential area in the Walkerville region, south of the capital of Johannesburg, much to the disappointment of some South Africans.

Netizens found the story about Sheba the tiger’s escape and euthanization quite funny so they started making memes and jokes about the situation.

Tiger brands Jungle Oats started trending on social media as users likened Sheba the tiger to the brand because the cereal company has a tiger as part of its logo.

Tweeps started referring to Sheba the tiger as Jungle Oats as they sarcastically mourned her death.

Not to be left out, controversial painter Rasta The artist, who is well known for painting pictures of the deceased, painted a picture of Sheba The tiger as he paid tribute to her.
