Residents Sleep With Shoes As Rabbit-Like Rats Terrorize Them At Night
In a disturbing development, residents from Ocean View Squatter Camp in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape are having sleepless nights as rabbit-like rats terrorize them.
The situation is reportedly so bad to the extent that some of the residents are opting to sleep with their shoes on, while others have abandoned their bedrooms to sleep in the lounge.
Speaking during an interview with The Daily Sun, one of the residents Nomvuzo Tshuku (38) revealed that rats have been terrorizing them ever since they erected their shacks in 2002.
Nomvuzo said the rats which are grey and white in color go into their houses if they don’t find anything to eat in the rubbish bins. She claims the rabbit-like rats only want polony and meat.
Nomvuzo added that if the rats do not find any food they go on to attack Tupperware and pot lids.
The mother of three revealed that she has since abandoned her room because she fears the rats will eat them.
In a related incident reported by iHarare, a sangoma from South Africa cried foul after evil rats allegedly ate her R1400 and destroyed her muthi.
Nobuntu Ncaminkosi (38) who practices as a sangoma and a prophet claims that ever since she arrived in Ebumnyameni squatter camp in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape evil rats have been tormenting her.
Nobuntu claims the rats which are tormenting her are white like goats and as big as a man’s foot. She believes the rats were sent to destroy her and her business.
