Zimbabwe-born socialite Paloma Mlunjwana, affectionately known as Loloskloset is riding high after featuring in the South African reality television series Queens of Mzansi.

Queen of Mzansi premiered last Monday, August 15 on SABC 1. Earlier this year, Paloma Mlunjwana landed another major role on prime-time television on the new reality show, Diamond & Dolls on Showmax.

Loloskloset opened up on why she landed her second major reality television role in a short time. She said she is authentic and does not fake her life for the cameras. Speaking to a daily Zimbabwean publication, Paloma Mlunjwana said:

I think at this stage it is now clear that I have a dynamic, authentic brand and most reality television shows now are serious and looking for people who are brave to be honest about their real lives and make a connection to their social media lives.

She added that she is relatable and that makes her perfect for reality television. Loloskloset said:

I should say that I am quite relatable and have invaded and been on social media space for quite some time and been creating content for my followers. I am now perfect for many shows, entertaining and captivating my audience and now it is easy to transfer and transform it to reality television.

The Zimbabwean revealed how she landed a role on Queens of Mzansi, Paloma Mlunjwana said she was headhunted by the producers. She said that at first, she was not open to being vulnerable again on reality television but took on the opportunity to grow her brand and put her talent on display. Loloskloset said:

The producers called me and asked if I was available for this. At first, I didn’t want to be vulnerable again, you know with reality television, but I thought it was a great opportunity to grow my brand and showcase my talent.

She said she opted to appear on reality television to represent Zimbabwe and women in general. Paloma Mlunjwana said:

I would say that it has been my dream to be on these shows. As Zimbabweans, we do take up spaces in countries we live in and I have noticed many were querying why am I in the South African shows. I raise my country’s flag high and it is an opportunity to represent women, give them a chance to talk.
