EXTRAORDINARY|Here Are Five Football Records ‘Impossible’ To Break

If you believe you can do it, nothing is difficult or impossible.

However, even if you believe in yourself, some extraordinary records in football appear impossible to break.

Here are some ridiculous records set by footballers and managers that have yet to be broken!

The Italian goalkeeper is without a doubt one of the world’s best shot-stoppers.

The former Juventus goalkeeper reached a historic milestone in his football career by keeping over 500 clean sheets for his country and the clubs for which he played.

Only Edwin van der Sar and Iker Casillas came close to breaking that record, each with 440 career clean sheets.

Buffon not only set a seemingly impossible record, but he also made 1000+ professional career appearances, which is a remarkable feat.

He is a G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time), the greatest football player of all time. Lionel Messi broke Pele’s record for most goals scored in a single season for Barcelona.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward increased his single-club goal tally to 672 from 778 games, passing the legendary Pele, who now sits second on the list with 643 from 659 games.

Messi achieved that illustrious feat while playing for Barcelona, a club he joined at the age of 13.

Former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson is regarded as the greatest coach in English Premier League history.

Sir Alex Ferguson is well-known for his historic feat of winning 13 Premier League Cups during his long tenure at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson was appointed manager of Manchester United in 1986 when the club was struggling. The Red Devils were in 21st place on the log standings at the time.

However, the coach transformed Manchester United into a formidable force.

Sir Alex Ferguson won 37 titles as a manager with Manchester United.

To sum up Ronald Koeman’s performance as a footballer at Barcelona, the word LEGEND is insufficient.

Koeman holds the record for the most goals scored by a defender in football history.

The former Barcelona star was not only good at defending but also at scoring goals. Koeman scored 239 goals in his career.

This record has yet to be broken.

Rogerio Ceni [Getty Images]Who recalls Rogerio Ceni? The Brazilian international’s name was inscribed in the book of the Greatest Footballers.

Ceni played as a goalkeeper. In 1238 appearances, the Brazilian scored 131 goals.

The majority of his spectacular goals came from free kicks. Ceni scored 61 free kicks, 70 penalties, and one from open play—quite an accomplishment for a goalkeeper.

It remains to be seen, however, whether another goalie will break this seemingly ‘impossible’ record.
