Globally-acclaimed Amapiano musician Uncle Waffles is ecstatic after US diva Beyonce played Tanzania on her Renaissance Tour.

Beyonce Knowles kicked off her Renaissance Tour yesterday, 10 May 2023, at Sweden’s biggest stadium, Friends Arena, in Stockholm. The tour will run until 27 February 2023, and she will take her album to North America and Europe through live shows.

After hitting the stage and rocking the Swedish audience, some South African fans were surprised when they heard a familiar Amapiano sound mid-show.

As Beyonce’s dancers bopped to the African sound, Tanzania by Uncle Waffles then blared on the speakers, much to the amusement of local fans. The song was mashed up with Kendrick Lamar’s Alright.

The dancers kept the set true to the sound as they rocked South African dances.

Some person at the concert went live on Instagram, and another excited South African quickly took a screengrab of the video and shared it on Twitter hysterically:

“NOT BEYONCE USING TANZANIA AT THE RENAISSANCE TOUR OMGG @unclewaffffles I know it’s short, but OMG.”

When Uncle Waffles saw the video, she was touched:

“I’m crying wow”
