In what reads like a scene from a horror movie, a jealous boyfriend from Russia who couldn’t handle all the attention his girlfriend was getting decided to end her life in the most gruesome way possible. This is something you watch in the movies and never anticipate that it could ever happen in real life.
Russian beauty queen Olga Shlyamina (33) was gruesomely killed by her boyfriend only identified as Vyacheslav (40).
Vyacheslav allegedly beheaded her because he feared her pageant success would cause her to flirt with other men.
The mutilated corpse of Olga was found in a snow-covered forest in Novodvinsk, northwest Russia, on Thursday last week.
The mother-of-two had not been seen since she left home five days earlier and her family reported her missing.
Before her death, Olga had recently won a local beauty pageant which reportedly infuriated Vyacheslav over fears she would use the title to woo other men.
The couple’s relationship was described as turbulent with frequent arguments. Olga’s relatives revealed that before her tragic death she appeared troubled.
According to Olga’s friend, the two met after Olga’s two failed marriages and was initially loved up until Vyacheslav became violent. She added that before her demise she was looking for a way out of the relationship.
The final straw came when Olga competed in the local pageant, after which Vyacheslav accused her of flirting with a work colleague.
Fearing that Olga was about to leave him, Vyacheslav allegedly took her for a walk through a forest where he attacked her, beheaded her, and hid her body in the snow, The DailyMail reports.
An investigation was immediately opened after her body was found and Vyacheslav was arrested in connection with the heinous crime.
He has partially admitted his guilt, saying he hit her and the blow may have killed her.
Meanwhile, investigations into the case are still underway.
