Report: Giants fire OL coach Colombo, eye DeGuglielmo

The New York Giants fired offensive line coach Marc Colombo on Wednesday and

plan to replace him with Dave DeGuglielmo, the NFL Network reported.

Should the Giants make the reported move, it will reunite head coach Joe Judgewith DeGuglielmo. The latter helped the New England Patriots to a pair ofSuper Bowl titles before interviewing with the Giants, who ultimately hiredColombo.

DeGuglielmo, 52, previously served as an assistant offensive line coach withthe Giants from 2004-08.

The Giants have yet to announce the move involving Colombo, who is in hisfirst season with the team. Colombo spent his previous four seasons coachingthe offensive line in Dallas under Jason Garrett, who is now New York’soffensive coordinator.

Colombo played offensive tackle for the Cowboys from 2005-10 as part of a10-year NFL career. He joined Dallas’ staff as an assistant in 2015 and waspromoted to assistant offensive line coach in 2016.
