APA-Johannesburg (South Africa) South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) has formed a taskforce to be headed by party policy chief Jeff Radebe to look into recommendations by the recently released Commission of Inquiry into State Capture report concerning the organisation’s activities, APA learnt on Saturday.

According to the ANC, Radebe would lead an internal task team that would process recommendations of the state capture commission related to the party and its deployees.

The party said it recommended the establishment of the task team after the release of the first part of the commission’s report earlier this month.

Radebe’s team would also feature ANC policy guru Joel Netshitenzhe and Justice Minister Ronald Lamola, among the legal minds who would draft proposals to give effect to the party’s commitment to process Acting Chief Justice Raymond Zondo’s recommendations – and use them to enhance the party’s renewal and rebuilding efforts.

Zondo chaired the deliberations of the three-year commission when he was Deputy Chief Justice until two weeks ago.
